Carl Champagne, Chief Executive Officer
Carl Champagne is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of DSI.
He stepped into DSI as a hands-on angel investor, and his leadership enables DSI to achieve increasingly higher levels of success. He also has experience with large corporations, such as GTE, now Verizon and Digital Equipment, and Compaq, now Hewlett-Packard. Over the last 25 years, Carl has guided several high technology and manufacturing companies through critical phases of turn-around and fast-track growth. With each of these endeavors, he has not only provided market vision and technological and business expertise, but vital leadership necessary for the company's long-term growth and profitability. Carl has a Bachelor of Science and Master's Degree in Computer Science, and completed the Management of High Technology Business program from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
In his spare time, Carl serves as Chairman of the Board for Special People Loving Outdoor Recreation Experiences (SPLORE), a nonprofit organization. He is a private pilot, and his personal interests include golf, sport shooting, and collecting antiques and investment grade firearms.
Terry Johnson, Chief Operating & Chief Financial Officer
Terry has served as DSI’s Chief Financial Officer since 2008, having more than 30 years experience in managing the financial affairs of high technology companies. Terry’s experiences have included senior financial and operations management roles in companies providing enterprise software systems, technology distribution, medical and biotechnology products. His background also includes capital formation and mergers and acquisitions activities and he is a past course instructor for University of Montana’s Western CPE program.
In August of 2011, Terry accepted the appointment as DSI’s Chief Operating Officer with the responsibility for all aspects of day to day operation of the company. Terry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Utah and is a certified public accountant.
Darin Patterson, Vice President of Product Management
Darin Patterson is Vice President of Product Management at Data-Systems International. Darin provides vision, planning, and management for the strategic evolution of the ClientTrack™ suite of products to assist health and human service organizations maximize their impact. He serves on the senior staff providing marketing and product management responsibilities to the team and our clients. Prior to this role, Darin oversaw all professional service and long term care delivery operations to ensure successful implementations of the ClientTrack application. He has been involved in dozens of human service software implementations including diverse roles in project management, product architecture, training, and configuration.
Equipped with a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Utah and extensive experience in implementing information systems in Health and Human Service industries, Darin a brings a unique perspective to his work at ClientTrack. As a former customer working at the YWCA of Salt Lake City, Darin implemented a comprehensive case management solution that enhances daily operations and strategic program management. In addition to the near decade of experience in this arena, Darin also served as a member of Utah's Homeless Management Information System (UHMIS) Steering Committee, and a co-chair of UHMIS's Ethics and Privacy Subcommittee.
Darin has a passion and deep commitment to helping human service organizations do more with less, by leveraging the power of information technology. He is an internal advocate of DSI’s Service Centric Initiatives.
