Natural Disaster in Haiti

 I extend my sympathies to all those who have been affected by the natural disaster in Haiti. While I sit here in comfort, I’m aware that there are tens of thousands who are in crisis. My heart, prayers, and best wishes go out to them. Also, I express my admiration and respect for so many individuals who are pulling together to do what they can in the midst of this tragedy. The images I’ve seen on the internet of people working together to rescue survivors–even while their own lives have been thrown into chaos–is a testament to the core goodness of humanity and the commitment to sustaining community. I wish the best for you, including the strength to persevere and the hope to overcome.
